Blacksburg -- Thomas Leroy Blackwell, 71, of McEntire Road, passed away Monday, October 15th, 2018, in Blacksburg.

Born in Blacksburg, he was the husband of Pamela Ruggles Blackwell and the son of the late William Blackwell and Gladys Sprouse Blackwell. Mr. Blackwell retired from textiles and was a member of The Voice of Truimph Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Blackwell is survived by one son, Thomas Bryan Blackwell of Blacksburg; two step-daughters, Loretta Rumpf and Brenda Martin; one brother, James Edward Blackwell of Blacksburg; two sisters, Mildred Blackwell Robinson of Blackburg and Carolyn Mae Butler of Vale, NC; five grandchildren, Brandon, Robert, Bryson, and Mellisa Blackwell and Kristin Moore; and five great-grandchildren.

Joint memorial services for Pamela Ruggles Blackwell and Thomas "Leroy" Blackwell, both of McEntire Road, will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 3:00 pm at The Voice of Triumph Church at 179 Corry Road in Blacksburg. Pastor and Evangelist Ann Rogers will be officiating.

Mr. Blackwell passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 and Mrs. Blackwell passed away on November 9, 2018.
