Blacksburg -- Mrs. Artie Marie Manning Carroll, 77, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Peachtree Centre.

Born in Blacksburg, she was the daughter of the late Boyd and Marie Ray Manning. Artie previously worked in textiles and was a member of Tabernacle of Love.

Surviving Mrs. Carroll are a daughter, Mary "Rat" Bagwell and husband, Leon, of the home; a son, John "Hoss" Carroll, of Blacksburg; an adopted sister, Doris Johnson, of Blacksburg; a son-in-law, Van Nuygen; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous adopted grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann Stansil, a daughter-in-law, Regina Murphy, four brothers, and five sisters.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, 20th of October, 2018, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will he held on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Wisher Cemetery with Rev. Lucky Earls officiating.
