Cherokee Falls -- Eugene "Buck" Cobb, 85, of 600 Peeler Rd, passed away Wednesday, August 8th, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Blacksburg, he was the loving husband of Mary Joyce Childers Cobb and the son of the late Carl and Alma Pugh Cobb. Mr. Cobb retired from textiles and was a member of Christian Fellowship Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Cobb is survived by two sons, Westley Cobb and wife, Kim, of Shelby and Sidney Cobb and wife, Phyllis, of Blacksburg; two daughters, Tammy Wankowski and husband, Bob, of Inman and Candy Martin and husband, Dennis, of Blacksburg; nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cobb was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Dana Sprouse, and two sisters, Annie Mae Lanier and Betty Jo Lanier.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 10th, 2018, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11th, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Willie Lanier and Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Hambright Cemetery. Dustin Cobb, Rodney Cobb, Jamie Martin, Kent "Chopper" Lanier, Chris Cobb, and Chad Ramsey will serve as pallbearers. Duane Ramsey and Jason "JJ" Ramsey will be honorary pallbearers.
