Obituary for James Clifford Mullinax

Blacksburg - James Clifford Mullinax, 85, of 111 Hardin Trail, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018, at his residence.

Born in Cherokee County, James was the widower of Mary Martin Mullinax and the son of the late James and Lois Thompson Mullinax. He was a member of Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church and previously worked as a truck driver.

James is survived by two sons, Ralph Mullinax and Kenny Mullinax, both of Blacksburg; three step-sons, Wayne Bolin and Glenn Bolin, both of Blacksburg, and Roger Bolin of Smyrna; one step-daughter, Mary Walker, of Smyrna; one sister, Agnes Mullinax Harrill of Gaffney; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Mullinax Harrill.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at the Blacksburg location of Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 PM in the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Junie Harrill officiating. John Robert Bolin, Marvin Bolin Jr, Charles Martin, Thomas Martin, and Matthew Mullinax will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at the residence.
