Gaffney -- Harold Lance Sims, 75, of 1143 Green River Rd, passed away Thursday, September 6th, 2018, at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Marsha Sims and the son of the late Pelham Sims and Mary Sims. Mr. Sims retired as a mechanic, was a veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Sims is survived one son, Lance Sims, and wife, Jennifer, of Gaffney; four daughters, Tracey Paige, Christine Holland, and husband, A.J., of Campobello, Wanda Sims of Gaffney, Ginger Addy and husband, Brian, of Gaffney; one brother, Dr. Heber Sims, of Spartanburg; a sister Linda Robertson, of Utah; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Other special friends and family include his brother-in-law, Keith Robertson, Johnny Morris, James Morris, Scott Carter, Pee-Wee Carter, and Darnell Watkins.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Duckett, a brother, Larry Sims, and a son-in-law, Ted Mahaffey.
The family will have a graveside service on Monday, September 10th, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Sims Family Cemetery, 1143 Green River Road, Gaffney, SC 29341.
The family will be at the residence.
