Obituary for Gerald Lee McClain

Blacksburg -- Gerald "Coot" Lee McClain, 75, of 317 Roberts Street, passed away on January 28, 2019 at his home.

Born in Laurinburg, NC, he was the son of the late Emmanuel and Laura McClain. Gerald previously worked as a lineman and served in the United States Army.

Surviving Mr. McClain is one brother, John McClain, of Blacksburg, and one sister, Margaret McClain, of Cowpens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and L.B. McClain, and two sisters, Darlene Messer and Ruth Raines.

Graveside services will he held on Thursday, January 31st, 2019 at 4:00pm in Mountain View Cemetery with Rev. Willie Lanier and Rev. Lucky Earls officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of John McClain, 505 N. Charleston St., Blacksburg, SC 29702.
