Obituary for Artella Grindstaff (Moore)

Kings Mountain -- Artella Moore Grindstaff, 82, of 137 Wooding Place, passed away on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020, at Atrium Health Cleveland.

Born in Kings Mountain, she was the widow of James Grindstaff and the daughter of the late James Claude Moore and Mamie Wilson Moore. Mrs. Grindstaff retired from textiles and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Mrs. Grindstaff is survived by one son, James Clark Farris (Cathy); two daughters, Teddie Farris Davis (Donald) and Cindy Wood (Phillip); son-in-law, Carl Lee Roseboro; two sisters, Margie Ann Greene and Mary Eva Boheler; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ted Farris, a daughter, Ronda Lee Roseboro, and her brothers, Claude Dean Moore and Billy Moore,

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 19th, 2020, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 20th, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Scott Hardin officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Matthew Boheler, Ronnie Ledford, Nikwon Roseboro, Chris Boheler, Jimmy Dean Moore, and Stacey Crawford will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Levine Cancer Center, 201 East Grover Street, Shelby, NC 28150.

The family will be at the residence.
