Obituary for Barbara Yvonne Williams (Moore)

Blacksburg -- Barbara Yvonne Moore Williams, 81, of 408 McSwain Road, passed away Thursday, October 15th, 2020, at her residence.

Born in Gastonia, she was the widow of Ralph Carson Williams and the daughter of the late Harry Allen Moore and Thelma Arlee Hall Broome. Mrs. Williams retired from textiles and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Williams is survived by one son, Robert Allen Williams; four daughters, Teresa Renee Childers (R.L.), Cathy Annette Willis (Larry), Carnita Yvonne Wilson (Mike), and Terry Lynn Proctor; one brother, Allen Lee Moore (Anita); two sisters, Carolyn LaRue Sherill and Cheri Annette Lecroy (Henry); 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Cord Williams, her daughter, Savannah Carolyn Robb, and her sister, Betty Jean Price.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18th, 2020, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Ronnie Lancaster, Allen Lancaster, Jesse Wade, Randy Wade Jr., Larry Willis, and Robert Howard will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at their respective residences.
