Obituary for Belton Eugene Phillips

Gaffney -- Belton Eugene Phillips, 75, of 809 9th Street, passed away Tuesday, January 5th, 2021, at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Bill Phillips and Bertha Spencer Duckett. Mr. Phillips retired as a truck driver and was a member of Gloryland Baptist Church, where he felt blessed to be a part of this church.

Mr. Phillips is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Mitchell Phillips and Miles Porter, his sister, Margaret Dianne Phillips, and his brother, Buford Phillips.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Gilfillan and Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Robert Moore, Kyle Moore, Bud Christensen, Braydon Jensen, Nathan Parris, Jerry Blackwell, Wayne Wright, and Josh Spencer will be pallbearers.

The family will be at their respective homes.
