Obituary for Dennis Lee Thomas

Blacksburg -- Mr. Dennis Lee Thomas, 61, of 704 Seven Springs Street, passed away on Thursday, February 29th, 2024, at his residence.

Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, he was the son of Eula Mae Ross Thomas and the late Collins Jackson Thomas. Dennis retired from Nestle after 35 years of service. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan!

In addition to his mother, Eula Mae Thomas, Dennis is survived by a daughter; D'nessa Thomas of Charleston, SC, a stepson; Jason Brown (Casey) of Simpsonville, SC, brothers; James Thomas (Lisa) of Grover, NC and Richard Ross (Angela) of Shelby, NC, sisters; Mae Thomas Smith (Alvin) of Gaffney, SC and Ann Palmer (Steve) of Gaffney, SC, three grandchildren; Bre'Azia Thomas, Lyvia Brown, and Haylie Gallagher, aunts and uncles; Lessie McSwain of Shelby, NC, Essie Ross of Blacksburg, SC, WT Ross (Helen) of Blacksburg, SC, Dwight Ross of Myrtle Beach, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his two brothers; Michael Thomas Sr. and Christopher Bobby Thomas and a sister; Christine Thomas Cummings.

Public viewing will be Monday, March 4th, 2024 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney, 211 East Frederick Street, Gaffney, SC . Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel with Dr. Michael Bridges officiating. Interment will be at Robinson Chapel Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence of his mother, Eula Thomas, at 215 Camp Drive in Blacksburg, SC daily from 12:00-6:00 pm.
