Obituary for Eugene Lee Gray
Blacksburg -- Eugene Lee "Gene" Gray, 80, of 139 Alexander Drive, passed away Monday, October 26th, 2020, at his residence.
Born in Washington County, IL, he was the husband of Shirley Lee Gray and the son of the late Earl Gray and Martha Barnett Gray. Mr. Gray retired as a bushhog operator for Cherokee County. He enjoyed gardening, animals, fishing, the outdoors, and sitting by the fire pit.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Gray is survived by three sons, Eugene Gray Jr., of Lee, IL, Shannon Gray of Gaffney, SC, and Shawn Gray of DeKalb, Il; one daughter, Bridgette Gray, of Sycamore, Il; one brother, Ronnie Gray, of Jonesboro, TN; and nine grandchildren, Andrew Larson, Haley Decker, Kenny Decker, Jeffrey Gardner, Joshua Gardner, Jesse Gray, Joey Gray, Amanda Lavender, and Samantha Gray.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28th, 2020, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Graveside services will immediately follow at 11:30 am at Clingman Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Matthew McDaniel, Chance McDaniel, Chuck Brown, Tim Brown, Steve Larson, Shannon Gray, Jeffrey Gardner, Joey Gray will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be at the residence.
