Obituary for Frances Geraldine Hambright (White)
Blacksburg -- Frances Geraldine White Hambright, 87, of 904 Cherokee Falls Road, passed away on Thursday, April 9th, 2020, at Residence.
Born in Blacksburg, she was the widow of Robert A. "Henry" Hambright and the daughter of the late George and Evie Cobb White. Mrs. Hambright served as lunchroom manager for Blacksburg Primary and Elementary Schools for twenty years and was a member of Cherokee Falls Baptist Church, where she played the piano for around forty years.
Surviving Mrs. Hambright are one son, Robbie D. Hambright, and wife, Mary K., of Graham, NC; two daughters, Reeta H. Blackwell of the home and Kim H. Proctor and husband, Ricky, of Kings Mountain; one sister, Joyce White Rochester, of Blacksburg; twelve grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hambright was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sally Wilkins Hambright, and a brother, Roy L. White.
Services for Mrs. Hambright will be private.
