Obituary for Frances Inez Parker (McDaniel)
Blacksburg -- Frances Inez McDaniel Parker, 91, of Parker Road, passed away Sunday, February 21st, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Henry "Bate" Parker and the daughter of the late Buren McDaniel and Katie Blanton McDaniel. Mrs. Parker was a homemaker and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.
Mrs. Parker is survived by one son, Ray Parker (Libby) of Gaffney; one daughter, Myra Earle (Jerry) of Blacksburg; two brothers, Durham McDaniel of Gaffney and Clayton McDaniel of New Mexico; one sister, Sandra Wilkerson (Rick) of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Wendy Collins (Travis) of Boiling Springs, SC, Brandon Poole of Blacksburg, Caleb Parker of Gaffney, and Kayla Parker Brown (Cody) of Gaffney; one great-granddaughter, Myleigh; and a special friend, Giuseppina Trapani.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Thelma McGowans, Delbert McDaniel, Drayton McDaniel, and Belle Sheppard.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25th, 2021, from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Buffalo Baptist Church, 618 Old Buffalo Church Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 pm with Dr. Bruce Price and Rev. Tyler Moss officiating. Interment will follow at Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery. Travis Collins, Cody Brown, Caleb Parker, Brandon Poole, and Jerry Poole Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
