Obituary for Jimmy Wray Huskins Jr.

Kings Mountain -- Jimmy Wray Huskins, Jr., 68, of 2078 Bethlehem Road, passed away on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020, at his residence.

Born in York, he was the husband of Nona Woodward Huskins and the son of the late Jimmy Huskins Sr. and Betty Gregory Huskins Figueroa. Mr. Huskins retired from Firestone and after retirement, he was a transporter for three years at Shelby Manor and loved the residents there. He was affiliated with Kings Tabernacle in Stanley, NC. He served in the US Marines.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Huskins is survived by two daughters, Marie Huskins and Sara Massey and husband, Chuck, all of Kings Mountain, NC; two sons, Jimmy Huskins III of Kings Mountain and Josh Huskins and wife, Jessica, of Bessemer City; two brothers, Eddie Huskins of Bessemer City, NC, and Tobias Schreiber of Boiling Springs, SC; one sister, Rebecca Warnack of Kings Mountain; eleven grandchildren, Zack Hayes and wife, Ambriel, Breanna Mercer and husband, Chris, Amber Huskins, Isabella Huskins, Seth Huskins, Luke Huskins, Marleigh Huskins, Daisi Huskins, Huck Huskins, Charleigh Massey, and Levi Massey; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Huskins, bonus daughters-in-law, Heather Clucas and Tracie Skidmore; and bonus granddaughters, Abby Skidmore and Chloe Hayes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Israel "Izzy" Huskins, his three brothers, and two sisters.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 18th, 2020, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.
