Obituary for Linda Crowe Carter Emery
Gaffney -- Linda Crowe Carter Emery, 68, of 281 Norman Boulevard, passed away on Friday, May 21st, 2021, at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Clifford Emery and the daughter of the late Charles Crowe and Margie Peterson Crowe. Mrs. Emery retired from textiles and was a member of Tabernacle of Love.
Mrs. Emery is survived by three sons, Randy Carter, Andy Carter, and Michael Carter; two daughters, Karen Carter and Michelle Anthony; two sisters, Brenda Deaton and Cathy Owensby; one brother, Donnie Crowe; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and one on the way.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Ann Mullinax.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 24th, 2021, from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 at 11:00 am at Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Gregg Martin and Rev. Larry Brewton officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery. Richard Burgess, Trey Burgess, Billy Anthony, Joshua Holmes, Bruce Mullinax, Ray Griffin, Wayne Crowe, Foy Lee Ramsey, Jason Powell, and James Crowe will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be DMW Fire Department.
The family will be at their respective residences.
