Obituary for Ricky Lee Hardin
Cowpens -- Ricky Lee Hardin, 59, of 995 Double Branch Rd, passed away Saturday, September 14th, 2019, at his home.
Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Barbara "Cookie" Martin Lovelace of Blacksburg and the late David Hardin. Mr. Hardin formerly worked in construction and was of Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Hardin is survived by a daughter, Angela Sherbert, and husband, Jason, of the home; five grandchildren, Devin, Austin, Ashtin, Blake, and Shawn; five great-grandchildren; four step-daughters, Brenda, Beverly, Lila, and Karen; fourteen step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Randy Hardin, of Gaffney; and a sister, Donna Scoggins, and husband, Dennis, of Blacksburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, his companion of twelve years, Gail McAbee, and a sister, Sheila Pennington.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 18th, 2019, from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hardin will immediately follow at 5:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jacob Mullinax officiating.
