Obituary for Ronald Jerome Byars
Gaffney -- Ronald Jerome Byars, 72, passed away on Monday, December 16th, 2019, at his home.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of LouAnn Byars and the son of the late Clyde Aaron Byars and Carolyn Phillips Byars. Mr. Byars previously worked as a truck driver and machinist, was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and he also served in the United States Navy.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Byars is survived by two daughters, Denita and Rochelle Byars, both of Gaffney; two sisters, Gail Phillips and husband, Randy, of Cowpens and Delores Dedmon and husband, Don, of Kings Mountain, NC; and four grandchildren, Miranda Carrasco-Byars, Madelyn Byars, Alexis Byars, and Jazmine Leach.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Aaron "Boots" Byars.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 19th, 2019, from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm at home of his daughters, Denita and Rochelle Byars, 110 Rainbow Dr. Gaffney, SC 29340. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 21st, 2019, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church with Father Michael McCafferty officiating.
