Obituary for Lemuel Estes Allison

Blacksburg -- Lemuel Estes Allison, 71, of 233 Oak Grove Road, passed away Friday, November 29th, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.

Born in Gaffney, she was married to Ben Miller Allison, of the home and the daughter of the late Robert Edward and Clara Mae Jones Estes. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. She was also the owner/operator of Precious Playmates Child Care Center of Blacksburg, before her retirement.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Allison is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Mauney and husband, Scott, of Athens, GA, Karen Groves and husband, Bret, of Hoven, SD, and Brenda Moss and husband, Gary, of Blacksburg; her grandchildren, Kristi Cobb and husband, Philip, of Blacksburg, Clint Groves and wife, Andrea, of Clinton, SC, Pamela Warner and husband, Seth, of Gettysburg, SD, Elisabeth Love of Kings Mountain, NC, Kevin Moss and wife, Joni, of Shelby, NC, and Russell Moss and wife, Erica, of Greenville, SC; and her great-grandchildren, Titus and Cameron Cobb, Jessica, Ashley, Bret, and Katy Groves, Corbin, Kahlan and McKavery Warner, Karlie and Meghan Moss. She also leaves behind Heather "Roo" Ledbetter and husband, Chris, and Kaley "Bug" Cable and her husband, AJ, whom she loved as her grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 30th, 2013, from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will he held Sunday, December 1st, 2013, at 3:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Barry Goodman, Rev. Johnny Owens, and Rev. Grady Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the residence.
