Blacksburg -- Helen Davis Welborn, 87, of 416 West Pine Street, passed away Sunday, April 2nd, 2017, at her residence.

Born in Kings Mountain, she was the wife of Norman Welborn and the daughter of the late Havana C. Davis and Ola Dettmar Davis. Helen was also a member of the Blacksburg Church of God.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Welborn is survived by her four children, Nanette M. Turner and husband, Wayne, of Grover, Rev. Luke Pearson and wife, Cathi, of Deltona, FL, Paula Smith of Blacksburg, and Debbie Tankersley of Blacksburg; one brother, Clyde Davis and wife, Viola, of Baltimore, MD; one sister, Sarah Beaty of Kings Mountain; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild that will be arriving in August; a son-in-law, Ron Smith, of Blacksburg.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017, from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Memorial services will immediately follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. James Clark and Rev. Luke Pearson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice Compassus, 1923 E. Main St., Duncan, SC 29334.

The family will be at the residence.
