Obituary for Doris Lanier Mullinax

Blacksburg, South Carolina -- Mrs. Doris Virginia Lanier Mullinax, 78, of 722 Bear Creek Road, passed away on May 12, 2019, at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late John Henry Mullinax and the daughter of the late William "Obie" Lanier and Lillie Cobb Lanier. Doris was a member of Cherokee Falls Christian Fellowship Church. She worked at Magnolia Finishing for over 30 years.

Mrs Mullinax was also preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Lester, Clemath, and Russell Lanier.

Mrs. Mullinax is survived by her loving son, Tim Mullinax and his wife, Rebecca and her daughter, Carol Mullinax and husband, James. In addition, she left behind her grandchildren, Shelley Hansen, Shiane Fowler and husband, Chase, Leah, Emmie, and Jamie Mullinax, Bailey Duncan, and Austin Martin. She also left behind her great-grandchildren whom she adored, Conner, JC, and Mason Hansen, and Jaelyn and Addie Daves, and she was waiting on her newest great-grandchild, Shiloh Fowler. She was also survived by her brother, Curley Lanier and wife, Rena.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Cherokee Fallls Christian Fellowship Church. Interment will be Hambright Cemetery with Revs. Gregg Martin, Willie Lanier, and Lucky Earls officiating. Anthony Lanier, Austin Martin, Terry Martin, Chase Fowler, Chris Manning, Chris Parker, and Flo Ramsey will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be the residence of Tim Mullinax, 382 Old Factory Road, Blacksburg, SC.
