Imogene was like another mother to me. She let me stay a lot at her home with her daughter Diane growing up. My Mom worked a lot and our home life wasn’t wonderful, but I always knew I had a safe place to go to. Now, being a Mother myself, I know how much of a burden it can be having another kid around. Her, and her husband, never told me no and always made sure I was fed and taken care of. When visiting Imogene and Diane before she got sick I thanked her for everything and told her I loved her. She told me I didn’t have to thank her and I told her no that I did. She never seen taking care of anyone a burden because that’s the kind of person she was. She will always have a special place in my heart and well as all of her family. I’m so glad she was surrounded by her loving family during her last moments and now she’s at peace with the rest of her heavenly family. Shelly Vinesett (Gales)
