Clover -- Jimmy Rogers Dover, 78, of 104 Whitesides Road, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center.

Born in York County, Mr. Dover was the husband of Edna Crocker Dover of the home and the son of the late Andrell and Tiny Lucinda Bolin Dover. Mr. Dover retired from textiles as a fixer.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Dover is survived by three sons, Danny Rogers Dover of Smyrna, Jimmy Neal Dover of Clover, and James Rogers Dover of Clover; two daughters, Molly Carpenter of Clover and Virginia Hill of Gastonia; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dover was preceded in death by a son, Randy Vincent Dover, a daughter, Lois Dover, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Gordon Mortuary from 7 until 9 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 16, 2010, at 4 PM at Canaan United Methodist Church. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
